Pascaline took part in an exclusive editorial and created her own sneaker selection. Take a look...
We are very happy to introduce this months Guest Editor Pascaline Smets, the super stylish Buying Director for Smets and as her surname hints the Heiress to the family business.
Smets is the brain child of Pascaline’s mother Carine who opened a children’s store in 1986 and then went on to open a second store offering womenswear. Pascaline’s father Thierry joined the business in 2001 overseeing all financials and then finally to complete the family circle Pascaline.
From the age of 6 she started to accompany her mother on buying trips and some would say that is where the seed was sewn. After studying commerce and architectural engineering in 2008 at the tender age of 25 Pascaline took on the role as buying director with her families business and the rest as they say is history.
The Smets high end concept stores are unique, one stop shops showcasing: furniture, art, fashion, accessories and food under a single roof, with a portfolio of 5 stores, online shop and a brand new store in the city center of Brussels, Smets is a shopping destination that is highly respected and with Pascaline at the buying helm introducing new talent from around the world (including a MYSWEAR customisation bar currently in the Luxembourg store) we can only see the Smets name continue to be the go to name in high end fashion retail.
MYSWEAR managed to grab 5 mins with Pascaline whilst at NYFW to answer a few questions for us and give us her MYSWEAR top 8 Edit.
Why MYSWEAR? Great collaboration that respects identity and allows to be creative in an easy and playful way. It’s about connecting things together and we all have the desire to create… So when it’s easy and it’s supported by a fab team, just don’t think and do it.
